The Storm Whale opens at Polka Theatre on Friday, where it runs for half term week before a stint in Nottingham for Christmas. The show is directed by Matt Aston and based on the book by Benji Davies. I wrote the music and lyrics, while Matt Aston took care of the script.

THE EVERYWHERE BEAR
The Everywhere Bear opens at Little Angel Theatre today, where it runs until the 14 April. I wrote the show with Peter Glanville, based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Rebecca Cobb.

THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
The Night Before Christmas opens at Polka Theatre today, and runs until January. It has been written by Hattie Naylor, and has music by me, including setting to music the poem 'A Visit from St. Nicholas' by Clement Clarke Moore.

CAN BEARS SKI?
Can Bears Ski? has been adapted by Tina Williams from the book by Raymond Antrobus and Polly Dunbar. Produced by Pied Piper and Deafinitely Theatre, the show is on tour until it arrives at the Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith in 2024 with a through-composed score by me.

Burglar Bill begins a three month UK tour today. ending up at the Lyric, Hammersmith for February half term 2023.

LITTLE ANGEL THEATRE'S MINIATURE TRAVELLING CIRCUS
Little Angel Theatre's Miniature Travelling Circus opens today at Little Angel Theatre, London.
It's been written and directed by Miranda Pritcher and performed by Lizzie Wort. I have written the music and created the sound design. It's a lovely show, and has a five-star review in The Stage.
TWIRLYWOOS
The live version of the CBeebies show Twirlywoos has been touring this year and makes its West End debut next month at the Leicester Square Theatre. I am the sound designer for this show, and I have written some incidental music for it, too.

The Paper Dolls, a co-production between Little Angel Theatre and Polka Theatre, is now open at New Wimbledon Theatre for Christrmas.

The brand new show from Pied Piper Theatre Company is now on the road. Dig! is a show for babies and toddlers, starring the lovely Nick Ash as a gardener spending some time trying to grow some carrots.

NEVERLAND
My musical Neverland opens at the Casa Manana Theater in Texas today. Originally commissioned by Shona Powell for Lakeside Arts in 2015, it is now available for performance across the pond.

THE SNOW QUEEN
The Snow Queen opens today at Polka Theatre, where it runs until February 2018. I have writen the music for this. You can listen to it, or download it absolutely free here.

Theatrical behemoths Sarah and Duck's Big Top Birthday and The Night Pirates are still on tour, somewhere in the UK. In fact, next week, The Night Pirates is on at Whitley Bay Playhouse, where I made my 'acting' debut in The Sound of Music aged thirteen.
The show is based on the popular book by Peter Harris and Deborah Allwright. I have worked on the sound design. It is directed by Miranda Larson and composed by Barrie Bignold. The show tours the UK until November.You can see the tour dates here.
UNDER THE RAINBOW
Under the Rainbow, with music by me, is now open at Polka Theatre, following its successful debut at Wilderness Festival last August. The show stars Marleen Vermeulen as a young girl who is forced to leave her home before finding a new paradise on a remote island.
The show is directed by Polka's Artistic Director Peter Glanville, and runs throughout May. You can listen to some of the music here, or book tickets for the show here.
SARAH AND DUCK'S BIG TOP BIRTHDAY
Sarah and Duck's Big Top Birthday is now on a national tour. I am the sound editor and designer on this show, which was directed by Roman Stefanski. The music is by the composer of the hit TV show, Tanera Dawkins.

The show has been produced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this classic Nottingham play, written by Stephen Lowe.
The show features Line of Duty, Broadchurch and This is England star Vicky McClure, as well as War and Peace actor Aisling Loftus, Sarah Beck Mather and Esther Coles.
I have written the music and created the sound design for the production, which was directed by Matt Aston. The show runs until Saturday, 4th March.
SNOWFLAKES
I have just spent a lovely week in Oxford opening Oxford Playhouse's production of Cerrie Burnell's book Snowflakes. I have written the music and a few songs for the show, which runs all the way over Christmas until New Year's Eve.
The show has been directed by Tina Williams, and produced in association with Pied Piper Theatre Company.
Meanwhile, Red Riding Hood is being performed at the LICM Theater in New York this Christmas, and The Snow Queen makes its US debut in San Francisco, thanks to the Marin Theater Company.

MRS ARMITAGE AND THE BIG WAVE
GaGa Theatre's Mrs Armitage and the Big Wave, based on the book by Quentin Blake, opens today at the Abbey Theatre in St Albans. I have written lots of music for it, and the lovely design is by Verity Quinn, who also designed Under the Rainbow.

SHAKE, RATTLE AND ROLL
I have just finished composing the music for Polka Theatre's new production Shake Rattle and Roll, which is part of their Brain Waves festival. Devised and directed by Sarah Argent, this show has been made with the assistance of the clever boffins from the Baby Lab at Birkbeck University, exploring babies' behaviour.

WILDERNESS FESTIVAL
I am off to Wilderness Festival this week, where I will be performing a solo David Bowie singalong from Thursday to Sunday at 6pm. I'll be bashing out all the hits, from Let's Dance to Kooks to Space Oddity, so if you're heading up to Oxford this weekend, do pop in.
I have also written the music for Under the Rainbow, a brand new Polka Theatre show, which will premiere at the festival on Friday.

UNDER THE RAINBOW
I have just finished writing the music for Under the Rainbow, which premieres at the Wilderness Festival in Oxford this August.
The show is being devised and directed by Peter Glanville, and will return to London in 2017 for a run at Polka Theatre.
It's another through-composed piece, utilising music and instruments from the Middle East, telling the story of a refugee who finds a magical island paradise. If you're wondering what that might sound like, look no further: the soundtrack is available to listen to, or to download, right here.

LEAF
Leaf, devised by Joy Haynes and Marleen Vermeulen, and featuring music by me, opens this week at the Half Moon Theatre in East London.
It's a 25 minute, through-composed piece about the life of a leaf, and you can listen to the music over here.
I'm off to Spain for the week, to recover. When I get back, it's straight into rehearsals for Under the Rainbow, which premieres at the Wilderness Festival in three weeks' time.
I'll also be there, performing a solo David Bowie tribute. More about that later.
JUST SO STORIES
I'm off to sunny Scarborough for the week to open Just So Stories at the Stephen Joseph Theatre.
The show has been adapted and directed by Vicky Ireland after the 1902 book by Rudyard Kipling. It features music by me and lyrics by Vicky.
I have been busy working on The Box of Photographs, which opens this week at Polka Theatre. The show has been written by Daniel Jamieson and directed by Sarah Punshon. I have written some music and created the sound design.
It's a cracking show, based on stories written by local children. Lots of magical lands, monsters, blood, guts and mayhem. If you fancy coming to see it, it's recommended for 7+ years, and opens on 22nd April.
Gorilla, based on the book by Anthony Browne, is being revived this month by Watershed productions, the UK producers of the Charlie and Lola stage shows.
It opens at the Waterside Arts Centre in Manchester on Saturday 4th April. It's only running for a few days as a try-out for a tour. I have written a new song for the production, called A Gorilla Makes a Very Good Friend, which you can listen to below.
I am currently writing songs and music for Mike Kenny's Snow White, which opens at Z-Arts in Manchester on the 19th March, before popping off on a UK tour.
The show is directed by Matt Aston, and produced by Engine House Theatre with LipService, the comedy duo who also star in the show.
Also in Manchester, Gorilla is appearing at Waterside Arts for a tour try-out in March. You can book for that here.
BERMUDA FESTIVAL
I am off to the Bermuda Festival this week, where Me and My Cat? is playing on the 6th and 7th February.
The show, based on the book by Satoshi Kitamura, was directed by Vicky Ireland MBE, and stars Kumiko Mendl. I wrote the music, and also made video animations for it.

The Paper Dolls has now opened at London's Polka Theatre, where it sits until March.
Based on the book by Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Rebecca Cobb, it opened last year at Little Angel, before sepnding Christmas at the New Wolsey, Ipswich.

NEVERLAND
My new musical, Neverland, opens at Lakeside Arts in Nottingham this week, featuring a book, music and lyrics by me.

The story is loosely based on JM Barrie's Peter Pan, and has been directed by Martin Berry, who, in a daft show of support, jumped out of a plane to raise money for Great Ormond Street at the weekend. Great Ormond Street, as you may or may not know, get royalties every time Peter Pan is produced.
Anyhow, Neverland has a load of brand new songs in it, including this one...
I have been working on it on and off for the past two years. It's on all over Christmas, and you can buy tickets for it right here.
In the meantime,Beauty and the Beast is going great guns at Polka Theatre. The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse appears to be going well on tour. The Paper Dolls opens at the New Wolsey in Ipswich this Tueday. Red Riding Hood is touring the USA until May 2016, including performances with a live orchestra. Charlie and Lola is currently in Hong Kong.The musical version of Beauty and the Beast I wrote with Mike Kenny has just finished a run in Canada, and I'm off to Bermuda in the New Year with Me and My Cat?.

I'm very excited to announce I am writing a new musical, Neverland, which opens at Lakeside Arts Centre on 4th December and runs until New Year's Eve. Directed by Martin Berry, the show features a script, music and lyrics by me.

INTERNATIONAL PRODUCTIONS
There are several productions of shows I have written music and lyrics for afoot in the USA and Canada.
Both of these shows have a script by Mike Kenny with music and lyrics by me, and were originally produced in the UK by Lakeside Arts (Red Riding Hood) and Engine House Theatre (Beauty and and the Beast). They were originally directed by Matt Aston.

GORILLA

The show, directed by Jonathan Lloyd, runs over Christmas. It stars Oliver Wellington, Abi Hood, Jeremy Barlow and Gehane Strehler.
The Snow Queen, written by Mike Kenny, originally opened at Polka Theatre in 2010. I have written some new music for this production, which looks gorgeous.
Me and My Cat?, directed by Vicky Ireland MBE, and starring Kumiko Mendl and the voice of Roger McGough CBE, opened at the Cockpit in London last Saturday.
The show, produced by A Thousand Cranes, is based on the book by Satoshi Kitamura. It features music and animations by me, and is on tour for the next few months.

FLAT STANLEY
Flat Stanley, written by Mike Kenny and I, is spending Christmas at Lakeside, Nottingham this year.
The show is directed by Matt Aston and designed by Laura McEwan.
The new cast album features Sam Hallion, Adam Ryan and Helen Woolf and myself on vocals. Matt Hutchinson plays drums, and I play everything else.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, adapted by Toby Hulse, opens at Lakeside in Nottingham on 6th December. The music, including three new songs, is by me. You can download my soundtrack here.
I have written a new Christmas carol for the show, called Ring the Bells. It features in their lovely video trailer.
Meanwhile, Beauty and the Beast will open at Barnsley Civic in a couple of weeks, and Red Riding Hood will take over at Leicester Curve for Christmas.
GORILLA
Gorilla is now safely ensconced in Polka Theatre until Febrauary 2014, when it will have been performed 209 times. It is already sold out for the whole of October.

The show combines live theatre with the fantastic cinema animation of Will Simpson. Should be good. The following week, Gorilla opens at Polka Theatre, settling in for a four-month Christmas run.
Little Sunshine, Little Rainfall is currently in Geneva, and Charlie and Lola's Extremely New Play is off on tour. Red Riding Hood will be spending Christmas at Leicester Curve while Beauty and the Beast opens at the Barnsley Civic Hall. A Christmas Carol will be making its debut at Lakeside Arts, Nottingham in December, too.
NEW SINGLE FEATURING DAVID McALMONT
My new single, Time Stands Still, featuring vocals by the lovely David McAlmont, is released on iTunes and 'all the usual outlets' on 23rd September via Pop! Records.
We recorded the song in my studio in April and it was mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.

A Thousand Cranes are going on tour with Little Sunshine, Little Rainfall again in 2013, culminating in an appearance at Camp Bestival in August.

I have just spent two days in my studio with the fantastic cast of Beauty and the Beast making the Cast Album of the show. We're really happy with the results, and you can listen to the album here.

Red Riding Hood opens at Polka Theatre today. It premiered last Christmas at Lakeside, Nottingham, and has been touring on and off since the Spring.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST
I am now working on songs for Engine House's production of Beauty and the Beast which opens at the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield on 13th December. The script is by Mike Kenny, and it's directed by Matt Aston. We have been casting actors this week in London.
I have four weeks in which to write the songs. Better get on.

PREVIEWS FOR CHARLIE AND LOLA
Charlie and Lola's Extremely New Play has now completed its six UK previews before being shipped off to Australia. It plays Sydney Opera House this Christmas. It then returns to England for its UK premiere in Spring 2013.

CHARLIE AND LOLA'S EXTREMELY NEW PLAY
I am currently in rehearsals for Charlie and Lola's Extremely New Play at Polka Theatre. The show previews in London in August before its official opening at the Sydney Opera House in the Autumn.
This is our second Charlie and Lola play. The first, Charlie and Lola's Best Bestest Play has been touring since 2008. It has travelled to Brazil, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore and completed four UK tours.
Both shows have been adapted by Jonathan Lloyd and directed by Roman Stefanski.
RUN! CAST ALBUM
I have just finished recording the cast soundtrack to Run! A Sports Day Musical with fantastic vocal performances from Joseph Adelakun, Katie Bernstein, Peter Dukes and Stephanie Fearon.
